The Fontaine – formerly Hotel Sorella – is Kansas City’s premiere boutique hotel in the Country Club Plaza.
DRAW played an integral role as a member of the design team on the interior fit-out for this seven-story, 132 guestroom, four-star hotel. DRAW worked collaboratively with Gould Evans Associates to complete the shell and enclosure for the project, and was then invited to expand its scope of work into the interior spaces with hospitality specialists, Dawson Design Associates.
DRAW’s collaboration resulted in the conception of an innovative curtain wall and canopy that clearly defines the entry, creating a dramatic first impression while leading and inviting guests down the corridor for their stay. DRAW focused on the public spaces including the lobby, meeting rooms and ball room, as well as Bar Rosso – a rooftop restaurant and bar.
