Being an architect has always been part of Jaelyn’s plan for the future. When she was young, she enjoyed the freedom of creating structures with paper and cardboard. Her interest took shape in a high school drafting class. The challenge of observing and drafting by hand offered a precision that cardboard could not match. After drafting by hand, she learned Revit, the software tool she uses today. Going to Ranken Technical College to earn her B.S. in Architectural Technology was the logical step for a foundation in architecture. Her professional experience at Counsilman-Hunsaker, an engineering firm specializing in pool design, has supported her knowledge of Revit. After work, Jaelyn enjoys spending time with her family, her dog and collecting sneakers.
