Over his 30-year career, Robert’s mix of design insight and intellectual curiosity has benefitted every project he touches, regardless of scale or project type. His ability to understand the multiple layers within the design process results in positive impact outcomes for people and place.

Robert inspires clients and teammates alike with his conviction that smart design truly makes a difference and that every project holds the potential for a positive impact. He is drawn to clients who engage in a process of mutual discovery, in turn challenging the design team to listen deeply and act boldly to decipher problems in surprising and unexpected ways.

Robert has worked with a variety of institutional and private clients in Kansas City and across the country, including the University of Kansas, Tulane University, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the Pembroke Hill School, Notre Dame de Sion Schools of Kansas City, the American Royal, the Cerner Corporation (now Oracle), and Thank You Walt Disney.

A native of the Kansas City metro, Robert received his Bachelor of Architecture from Tulane University and a Master of Architecture from Yale University.  He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, accredited by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, and is a LEED-accredited professional.  Robert is a proud member of the 43rd Kansas City Civic Council’s KC Tomorrow leadership program cohort. He is also a founding member of the Pitch Perfect Collaborative, a not-for-profit development group whose mission is to restore the family home of baseball legend, Satchel Paige, located in the historic Santa Fe Neighborhood of Kansas City.
