Jason is a Professional Landscape Architect (PLA) who specializes in achieving sustainable, resilient socio-ecological landscapes at various scales and contexts through comprehensive site design; from private gardens, residences and resorts to public parks, streetscapes, waterfronts, and plazas. His extensive experience in public and private sector work has helped him develop a systematic understanding of how policy, finance, and design processes can be engaged to serve community values. At DRAW, Jason’s work aims to strengthen relationships between built and natural environments, and among their inhabitants.
Jason is fluent and conversant in Spanish from formal studies, international contracting, working with neighborhood groups, and his practical field experience.
Prior to joining DRAW, Jason served on the MARC Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) for the City of Olathe, and before Olathe, Jason worked with neighborhoods in Brooklyn and Queens, NY on multimodal streetscape updates for Bus Rapid Transit and greenway corridors, tree-friendly ADA streetscape reconstruction projects and socio-technical workflows for community mapping and resilience.
